Camping Bergumermeer is a real family campsite: the ANWB has given us a 8,3 rating.
Don't know how to sail? That's not a problem! We offer sailing lessons in Optimists and Falcons in the high season (summer holidays only). If you already know how to sail, or want to use a motor boat to get to know the area, you can hire a Falcon or motor boat here. We will also have a flatboat in the harbour in 2008 which you can use for day trips.
Hi there, boys and girls, do you know who I am? Yes, that's me, I'm Uncle Twinkle, the ambassador for Children's Camping World. You can forget all those difficult words, though. To children, I'm just Uncle Twinkle. Well, then, just… But I'm not all that ordinary after all. But really happy and friendly. Perhaps you even find me really cool!
What do you like doing then? Do you like going on adventures in the coutryside? Then come to Bergumermeer campsite in Friesland, or to one of the other campsites in the Children's Camping World. Then I'll teach you the 'Hi hoi hallo Twinkle song', and I'll introduce you to my friends on the recreation team and all my animal friends. Together, we'll make your holiday a real treat!
You can find me throughout the Netherlands, and even in Belgium! At my campsites, you'll find a lot of special facilities for children, and there's a professional team of organisers, with everything for you to do for most of the school holidays, from May to September.
Children's Camping World campsites don't just have a recreation team: they have real games professionals waiting for you. Recreation entertainers specially selected and trained by Children's Camping World. It's all here, every day of the holidays. And, of course, you'll keep running into me, Uncle Twinkle, on a regular basis. Because, if there's ever anything that needs some life putting into it, I'll be there! So just tell your mum and dad there's nothing for them to be worried about. And mums and dads can also have a great holiday at Children's Camping World. They can join in all the activities too, of course. If they dare to, at least. Or they can just do their own thing. Every Children's Camping World campsite is four or five-star standard, you see. Quality and many facilities, for young and old!
