Camping Bergumermeer is a real family campsite: the ANWB has given us a 8,3 rating.
Don't know how to sail? That's not a problem! We offer sailing lessons in Optimists and Falcons in the high season (summer holidays only). If you already know how to sail, or want to use a motor boat to get to know the area, you can hire a Falcon or motor boat here. We will also have a flatboat in the harbour in 2008 which you can use for day trips.
Our recreation centre has many facilities for relaxing and being actively involved, with full sports and games facilities. As well as midget golf, there are also two all-weather tennis courts. We opened our new "Jonah and the Whale" water and play paradise in May 2006, where you can let your children play and swim - even if the weather is bad, because it's all covered! There is a recreation team on hand during the May holiday, Ascension, Whitsun, eight weeks in the summer holidays and one week in autumn (incl. 2007), organising all kinds of activities.
Our restaurant is right by the Bergumermeer, where you can enjoy the beautiful views while having a drink on the terrace or dinner in our impressive restaurant. The restaurant is open all year, with modified opening hours in the early and late season (closed for three weeks after Christmas).
Our campsite shop has freshly-baked rolls every day. The shop is open from the May holiday through to September (limited range pre- and post-season).

Marina
Bergumermeer has a marina where you can hire a mooring for your boat. Use of the trailer lift is free.
Visitors' harbour
The visitors' harbour is lit and has power sockets. It also has sanitary facilities and water taps.
Restaurant
The most magnificant restaurant view in Friesland! On the day recreation site of Little Switzerland, where the Prinses Margriet canal and Bergumermeer meet. The restaurant, pub and terrace are three metres up, giving you a brilliant view of the Bergumermeer and Prinses Margriet canal. Dine here in style.

The snack bar and pizza corner are in the restaurant building.
Campsite shop
You can buy fresh rolls here every morning.
The launderette has professional washing machines, dryers and spin dryers, and is open all day.

Our playground has a range of play facilities for smaller children.

The nursery has ducks, rabbits, red deer, an emu, etc.
Young people's house
The young people's house is where the somewhat older young people can hang out, with video and computer games, pinball machines, basketball, table tennis and seating inside too.
Two beaches
We have two beaches, showers and sanitary facilities on the Bergumermeer, ideal for sunbathing and swimming.
